Pernai 30-metį atšventusi Lietuvos sunkiojo roko legenda iš Alytaus SVARAS 409 išleido trečiąjį albumą SUTYLA. Trumpai reziumuojant: jis sunkus, daugiaprasmis ir patriotiškas.

Pirmą kartą į Lietuvą atvykstantis tikras Niujorko bliuzo scenos senbuvis, gitaristas ir dainininkas Michaelas Hillas su grupe šią savaitę driokstelės su trenksmu. Jo debiutas iškart bus trigubas: turas startuos liepos 27 d. klube „Renginių Oazė“ Kaune, o po to bliuzo muzikos gerbėjų dar laukia du pasirodymai - 28 d. Vilniuje, naujame roko klube „Rock River Club“ ir 29 d. klube „Ramybė“ Palangoje. Bilietus į šiuos koncertus platina „Tiketa“ kasos ir internete www.tiketa.lt.

Pirmojo lietuviško pankroko festivalio "VILNIUS PUNK'87" trisdešimtmetis, kuriame pasirodys VARVEKLIS (Londonas), NĖRIUS A. PEČIŪRA (Vilnius), "WAGON RESTAURANT" (Kaunas) sostinės klube "Metro" įvyks 2017 metų rugpjūčio 10 dieną. Taip pat šiame istoriniame-dokumentiniame koncerte pasirodys dar viena legendinė Lietuvos pankroko grupė. Tai bus TURBO REANIMACIJA, kurie po nedidelės pertraukos grįžta į sceną.

Bene svarbiausia pastarųjų metų muzikos naujiena Lietuvoje yra legendinės roko grupės FOJĖ atgimimas. Tiesa, kitu pavadinimu - KITI KAMBARIAI, ir be Andriaus Mamontovo. Tačiau grupė, turinti jau nemažą bagažą dainų, netrukus koncertuos Klaipėdoje ir Vilniuje bei šiemet išleis debiutinį albumą. Grupėje groja trys buvę FOJĖ nariai bei grupių FLAMINGO (2006-2010) ir MARK FICTION vokalistas Žilvinas Sebeika. Jūsų dėmėsiui - išskirtinis interviu su legendiniu ARNOLDU LUKOŠIUMI (2017 07 13).

Buvę grupės FOJĖ nariai pranešė džiugią naujieną - nuo šiol jie gros pasivadinę KITI KAMBARIAI. (Pavadinimas atrodo kiek ironiškas: juk bute, be fojė, yra ir kitų kambarių.) Tiesa, grupėje nebus Andriaus Mamontovo, tęsiančio savo solinę karjerą. 2016 m. įkurtoje grupėje (tuomet PYPL pavadinimu) į grupę ŠIAURĖS KRYPTIS šiek tiek panašią muziką synthpop, new wave, new romantic stiliais gros Darius Burokas (bosas), Algimantas Kriščiūnas (būgnai), Arnoldas Lukošius (klavišiniai) ir Žilvinas Sebeika (vokalas, gitara).

When i speak about Lithuanian experimental pop music, i mean bands that play not usual pop/poprock music which is radio friendly: it's more oriented to a closed group of people but a very interesting one, though (similar to SPIRITUAL FRONT but without neofolk sound). There are three main bands that play such kind of music: RUMUNIJA / SEMĂNAT (Lith. Romania / Rom. Sowing), OBŠRR (Orange Beast Roughly Swallowing The Morning) and VILKDUJA (Stupid Wolves). Those three bands are friends among theirselves, they even released split album III in 2014 (https://obsrr.bandcamp.com/album/iii), and OBŠRR has a split with VILKDUJA (https://obsrr.bandcamp.com/album/dabartis). Let's talk about those strange pop bands separately.

According to discogs.com, Kim Cascone (aka Heavenly Music Corporation) studied electronic music at Berklee College of Music, Boston and worked since the late 70's in electronics. In the late 80's Cascone was assistant music editor for David Lynch's films 'Twin Peaks' and 'Wild At Heart'. In 1986 Cascone founded the record label Silent, where he released first results of his project PGR. K. Cascone now releases music on Sub Rosa, Mille Plateaux and runs a small vanity label called Anechoic. The musician played in groups Astralfish, Hydrosphere, KGB, Patternclear, PGR, Satellite IV, Spice Barons, Thessalonians. One of the most interesting composers of experimental music answered to some questions of mine (2017 07 10).

Jau šeštus metus iš eilės, menų fabrikas „Loftas“ rudenį pasitiks kviesdamas į urbanistinį muzikos ir menų festivalį „Loftas Fest“. Šiemet festivalis, kviečiantis su šūkiu, kad miestas turi akis ir ausis, kai „Loftas“ atveria duris, vyks rugsėjo 8-9 dienomis. Festivalio gerbėjai jau gali ruoštis plačiau atverti akis ir ištempti ausis – jų lauks net 2 dienos pramogų, 4 muzikos scenos, kvapą gniaužiantys meno performansai ir spektakliai, Lietuvos ir užsienio meno kūrinių parodos po atviru dangumi ir net naktinė mados mugė bei kino teatras.
