Interview with Le Cose Bianche: Power Electronics with straight analog approach

You make NOISE. And that NOISE is not just NOISE, but NOISE MUSIC. Do You make it alone or with others?

Personally, the most important collaborations are those in which the musical relationship became one with the human connection.

My relationship with my friends Eraldo Bernocchi and Paolo Bandera (Sigillum S.) gave birth to records I am very fond of and also helped me to get on the stage of X Congresso Post Industriale together with Paolo himself. Besides I became very attached to the project Iugulathor (Andrea was present with us at the Congresso as well), with whom I work permanently even in Cronaca Nera project.

And also: the record with my friends SC9 and my strict relationship with M.B.. It is difficult to name just a few examples.

What are the main ideas are behind Your music? Could You name Your favorite Your compositions / albums / collaborations? What about the new album?

There are no enormous ideas behind the things I do. I love to play Power Electronics and to mix it up with my little personal background, always keeping some straight analog approach. I have nothing really new to say.

Among my favorite records I could say “Born” (Cd, Old Europa Café), “Snuff Recorded” with Iugulathor, “ Come sonno dal ventre” (Murderabilia Records). I will be working very soon on a new record, that will celebrate L.C.B. ten years anniversary.

The sound is magic. You‘ve proved it. But, what ends, when there‘s no sound?

Just me.

Funny. So, what is and what is not a Sound Art?

It’s not for me to say. And, honestly, I don’t even care to know.

Then, you may not answer what do You think about relations between the old art and computer art? Are they compatible?

Of course they are perfectly compatible. Everyone is free to make their own choice, it is not of fundamental importance. The attitude is much more important.

What do You think about thousands of neofolk/industrial/ambient/tribal/electroacoustic/avangarde etc. bands/projects? Is it a kind of trend, o just a tendency forwards better music?

I don’t really know, I don’t listen to them.

So what do You listen to? Lithuanian music?

Unfortunately, I’ve never been in Lituany yet. My favorite Italian artists are: Mauthausen Orchestra, M.B., Laxative Souls, Sigillum S. As regards artists from abroad: Sutcliffe Jugend, Ramleh.

hat inspires You most?

I am just a banal man without imagination: so I only talk about me and my life.

What are You working on right now?

I will soon begin recording my new album, to celebrate 10 years of L.C.B., with the participation of Sigillum S., Iugulathor and SC9. Meanwhile I am working to play at the XII Congresso Post Industriale together with Maurizio Bianchi: it will be his first and last live music performance after almost 40 years of career. Quite a responsibility, I dare say.

What does Your band name mean to You?

Many have given different meanings to the name L.C.B. Now it doesn’t matter anymore what I thought ten years ago, when I created it. I let everyone see what they want to see, whether they really want to.

ok man? :)

Ok :)
