Interview (2015 06 23, 2015 07 11–13):

Your first ever created song / lyrics/ recording.

Hahaha......you do not want to know......=) - 3 chords and poor lyrics... but half a year later we started to record the first TMLHBAC album.....so......:=)

Do You have recording that You didn't publish and/or will never publish as Kafka? Would You betray Kafka?

Actually - I am not sure..neither if I have something unreleased nor that i wouldn`t release it..but let me have a look under my bed..there is a huge magick box and sometiomes ther I find things which haven`t been out into it.

But even if I would find..I do not know if I would release it. I am always thinking into what we do at the moment...not back nor further...I managed to "life now" - thats the only thing which counts..... tomorrow never knows!

Why did You choose music? Was there a doubt early on to become a writer, painter or somebody else?

I did not choose music..I think music did choose me. And I am more than thankful she did choose me. I often think what i should do in life without music. I mean..I have many interests and I have a few heavy passions - but music is the thing which keeps me alice!

Do You have Your all time favourite writers top? For me, it could be Beckett, Camus and several other that i will never "betray".

Well...why should you betray them?

I have some...one of my fav is Ernst von Salomon (1902– 972) but I am very open as well..... I really love Beckett..he did great stuff.
At the moment I am reading Hunter S. Thompson.... amazing!

I think my fav will always be Franz Kafka....I discovered him when i was 14 and did read all then..and was deeply impressed... so, you know..it's like with your first love you never will forget it...=)

Your concerts were in various interesting places/spaces: churches etc. In what most interesting places Your gigs occured?

Had a few...but the most outstanding was an open air in East Germany on a castle once..and then Bologna was I think really good. Once we p;ayed there in occupied theater from the 60ies.....amazing!

A few years later we got nvited back to Bologna and palyed on one of the main places there as part of the annual cultural festival. That was great..we got supported by an old Jewish guy who played harmonium and had a duck who did sing to his tunes. This was realky crazy. But we had a lot of strange nights and it looks we will have some more next year.

Would You make a solo project as a singer-songwriter?

No.....that's not my intention and I think I couldn`t do a good album. Although I like some singer songwriter stuff...ie Bonnie 'Prince' Billy... also I like a lot Scout Niblett and most from this genre I like Mark Lanegan. But as I told you before..I am very open towards music.

What's happening with the world right now? Nothing? Apocalypse? ...?

Kali Yuga! Can´t you see?

But..honestly..I hope soon mankind will die out...that would be the best thing which could happen to our bautful planet! Soon...........very soon I think.......!

Der Blutharsch (DB), the name. What does it mean and why did You chose it/it chose You? What does it specifically mean to You? Another name is also "complicated" (i mean The Moon...). What does it mean?

Indeed...the name did choose me..somehow it did find me.

Der Blutharsch has two specfic meanings: first it's a nickname for Swiss mercenaries during the Swedish wars - but also it means in Austrian slang "dried blood" - so - yes..indeed... the name found me and I only had to pick it up!

About the other name..I think it is selfdeclaring - isn`t it?

There was a project Jastreb, in which You participated. Very interesting music, too. What about other projects that You were involved? Collaborations with what musicians You value mostly?

Yes.. Jastreb is another band I am part of. We released 2 albums yet...and right now we are working on a new album (together with Blacke Fleming on drums) - me doping the keyboards - as usual.

Besides I am not into any other band - but right now we are bussy with various projects: we just are waiting for Joyride to be released (expected in September) - besides Jastreb we record a collaboration album with White Hills, another one with Urfaust, we work on a follow up album with Josef Dvorak (this time feat. art of Pungent Stench) - and also started writing for the next DB album which will be released next year for our 20iest anniversary! Also nexty ear might see some life shows of DB - somehwere..let's see....

If now is (i agree) Kali Yuga, what can we do? Sing while we may, as Legendary Pink Dots put it? Or just wait for Godot, as i understood near Beckett's grave.

Enjoy life and just give a fuck! Thats what i try to do....the world is a crazy palce and I try to ride the wave as good as possible...and sometimes I ry to miss any wave..which makes life even better!

Sometimes.....at last!
